Regulations When replacing your windows and doors, you must now adhere to current Building Regulations. It is your responsibility to ensure that your new products meet with current Regulations. You can do this by either: Instructing the Building Control Dept of your Local Council. They will inspect the completed work and issue a certificate if it complies. This will cost around £120. Or Using a FENSA or CERTASS approved installer. These companies are trained and made aware of Regulation changes, with regular inspections and fines possible, should work fail to comply. For up to date regulations, refer to a FENSA or CERTASS approved company, contact your Local Authority Building Control Dept or refer to Local Government site Important. Be aware, if you sell your home, as part of the Energy Rating , your certificate of compliance will be required. Failure to provide this can affect the energy rating provided or the sale itself. |
