Which? Trusted Trader
Which? have been testing products for the past 60 years, providing consumers with confidence in the purchases that they make. Now Which? are running a scheme to assess and endorse local tradesmen and tradeswomen called Which? Trusted Traders. The programme is designed to evaluate all aspects of the businesses to recognise good traders and help customers find reputable traders.
To achieve an endorsement from Which? Businesses are thoroughly checked to ensure they offer the high standards of products, craftsmanship and service set by the scheme. The rigorous assessment begins with looking at the credit report, customer satisfaction and business procedures. If these initial assessments are successfully passed Which? will go on to conduct face to face interviews, an assessment of the quality of workmanship and installation and a feedback report.
We take great pride in the endorsement of the Which? Trusted Trader scheme having lived up to the stringent standards set. As a Which? Trusted Trader certified company you can have confidence in the products and service that we offer to all of our customers. Enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing that you’ve chosen a reputable company and if, in the unlikely event that something goes wrong, there is an independent Alternative Dispute Resolution service, Dispute Resolution Ombudsman, on hand to help.
The exceptional standards of our workmanship, products and service are reflected in our customer review rating of 5/5. This highlights the passion and dedication that we invest in every project.

Supporting British Products
Abbey are committed to British jobs with over 95% of the products we offer being made in Britain.
Do you subcontract the fitting?
No, generally we use our own staff who work for us on a full time basis. Some specialist trades such as electricians or heating engineers may be brought in for specific jobs.
Is my price fixed?
All online prices from our online quote engine are a guide price only and subject to change after a site visit or technical survey. An estimate is an indication of price, whilst any quotation we give based upon an actual site visit is fixed and will cover all products and services we detail. No-one likes nasty surprises so we set out to make our prices as accurate as possible, as quickly as possible.
How long does it take to complete my order?
We normally work to a six-week lead time (but on occasion could be shortened) and as a guide, a team will usually fit two doors or four/five windows a day. Some purpose made products can take longer to obtain so speak to us a quickly as possible to help avoid any delay. Not every enquiry is the same, so our estimator will be able to give you a better indication.
How do I know the work will meet with Building Regulation requirements?
Abbey are FENSA registered, a self-regulating scheme. Our work is regularly vetted and checked and we organise a free certificate once your order is complete.
What do I do if I experience a problem some time after my products are installed?
Contact our Service Dept. to arrange a service call. They will have your details along with the products we have installed.
Different Companies have given me different advice on Building Regulations, especially on the need for structural supports. Who is correct?
For an independent view, speak to the Building Control of your Local Council or email FENSA.
See Fensa’s FAQs to find out the Building Regulations that are a legal requirement when replacing windows and doors (with fines for those who ignore these rules and future house sales at risk if improperly completed).
